The West Central (WC) Playboy Sureños (PBS) gang is a violent Sureño gang coming out of Adams Park on the west central of Los Santos. They are known to use the Playboy bunny logo to represent their hood despite their hood's name having nothing to do with the bunny and being older than the magazine. As a result of this the Playboys sometimes use the name Rabbit Gang.
The Playboys control the majority of Ganton . From Adams Park to the intersection near Unity Boulevard and Imperial street. The PBS cliques in this neighborhood consist of the Mara Salvratruca XIII and 069 Bricksquad 069.Their territory borders with the territory of the Mara Salvratrucha XIII gang, another violent Sureño gang.
The Playboys gang was originally a car club known as the Latin Playboys C.C. The Latin Playboys would soon form into a street gang after having confrontations with the violent gangs that that had plagued the streets of Ganton since the early 60's like the Brown Pride Locos, a vicious Mexican Gang coming out of Verdant Bluffs and the Ghetto Boyz, a violent Mexican gang coming out of 28th Street, Idlewood.
During the fall of 1995 a Playboys gang member by the name of Marcus "Marc" Lee was shot down on his porch during the late night. Marc had been waiting on his porch for his little brother when he was approached by a man from MS13 who asked where he was from, Marc threw up the Playboys Gang and was shot dead. The following morning a 15 year old boy was shot down on his way to the bus stop for wearing a brown t-shirt. This ongoing feud between the two gangs would last for over Eight years but soon came to an end in the 90's when the 069 Bricksquad went defunct.
Following the flood of immigrants from El Salvador during the 80's the Playboys became involved in a long standing feud with the newly forming Mara Salvatrucha gang. The feud is said to have started during the summer of 1992 when gang violence broke out between members of the Playboys gang and the Mara Salvatrucha gang at the Idlewood . However the conflict reached a breaking point following the brutal murder of Jazmin Pena. J.Pena was kidnapped and raped by Mara Salvatrucha affiliates before having her throat slit with a machete.
She was dropped off at Unity Boulevard, the Mara Salvatrucha affiliates left a note, a message to the Playboys which read 'Leave MS Alone or else', a warning that the Playboys gang didn't take. Mara Salvatrucha 13 became one of the Playboy Gang's most hated enemies. Cheby Woods was shot down the following morning in retaliation for Jazmin's death. The homicides received a high amount of publicity, with public outcries calling for an end to gang conflict. The gang war would last another ten long years before coming to an end following the LSPD raids that severely crippled the Mara Salvatrucha gang's operations in Los Santos.
